Station Map for the Occultation by (405) Thia at Sunday, 2009 September 20 (~ 04:48 UT)
V-Magnitude of target star HIP 29757: 9.2 mag
Johnson B-V Colour Index: + 0.1
UCAC instrumental „pseudo-R“ fit-model magnitude: 9.0 mag (data from UCAC3)
DOUBLE STAR! PATH SHIFT EXPECTED.
WDS 2006.5 gives magnitudes of 9.47 and 10.77. Separation 0.3 arcsec at position angle 36 deg (measured 1995).
The max duration is expected to be 6.6 sec with a max drop of 4.8 mag.
The event will take place at an altitude of 63 deg and at azimuth 123 deg. The sun will be at an altitude of -13 deg. (At predicted centre line for longitude W 02 deg)
There is a 1 sigma uncertainty interval of ± 0.47 path widths.
The probabilities to see a positive event:
Centre line: ~ 71 %
Path limits: ~ 48 %
1 sigma lines: ~ 16 %
2 sigma lines: ~ 2 %
(Calculation according to Raymond Dusser, E.A.O.N. Circular #10)
